About Simply Spun

Hello! I'm Rosemary, the founder of Simply Spun, established in 2009 out of a deep passion for traditional crafts. Weaving and spinning are more than hobbies; they are a vital part of our cultural heritage that I am dedicated to preserving and sharing.

Over the years, I've expanded my craft repertoire to include straw work, patchwork, rag rugs, and quilling. Each of these crafts offers a unique way to express creativity and connect with the past. My approach focuses on using natural materials such as wool, silk, linen, cotton, paper, straw, and rushes. These materials are not only environmentally friendly but also offer a unique texture and quality that synthetic materials cannot match.

Crafting by hand brings immense joy and satisfaction, and I find great pleasure in teaching others these valuable skills. My classes are designed for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced crafters, and are held in the welcoming environment of my home. This setting allows for personalized attention and a relaxed learning experience.

Through Simply Spun, I aim to create a community of crafters who appreciate the beauty and value of handmade items. Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, improve your existing techniques, or simply enjoy the therapeutic process of crafting, my classes offer something for everyone.
